Hello, I'm incompetent. Suddenly, I received a LINE message from my sister with an outrageous and unreasonable request... Oh dear.
Meanwhile, I went out for drinks and enjoyed walking around with friends at Tohoku University's school festival.

I casually accepted an invitation to go for drinks at the smoking area at work, and it was fun. The picture is of raw jellyfish with miso dressing. It was incredibly delicious.
At Tohoku University's school festival, I had amazing experiences like:
A high-level copy band of Shinsei Kamattechan
A beautiful photo exhibition
A viewing of an exhibition with luxurious explanations by Dr. Mantis from the insect club?
Otaku DJ
On the way back, while I was walking with a friend in Kokubuncho with an IPA beer in hand, I saw some foreigners in cosplay in front of a DJ BAR, which felt quite early (for cosplay), and we ended up chatting.

There were about 8 people. They were all ALT (Assistant Language Teacher) teachers who came from America to work in Japan.
They apparently work at elementary and junior high schools in various rural areas of Tohoku and had specifically driven all the way to Sendai to gather. I deeply felt that it's thanks to these people that Japan has English education.
It seems Japan is tough (to live/work in). But they said, "Japan is peaceful everywhere, so that's good, right! And there's anime too," and we talked.

Regarding books, Tohoku University's literature club was holding a used book fair, and I was recommended a novel by a club member. Although I've already read Yotsuba&!, it was interesting that only volume 12 was being sold, so I bought it as a memento.
That's enough small talk; now, let's talk about a gaming PC for 30,000 yen...

Not Impossible

Apparently, they want to play something called TCG Card Shop Simulator, and for the CPU, any generation of a suitable Ryzen 5 would be fine, but the problem is the GPU.
The minimum requirement is a GTX 1070, so any (GPU) would be more than enough, but...

30,000 yen...?

Yes, originally they sent me a laptop worth about 70,000 yen, so the requirement was around 70,000 yen, but when I said, "I can build one for about 50,000 yen," they asked, "Can't you manage it for around 30,000 yen?"

My inner voice: "30,000 yen....!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! No, no, wait, you were talking about buying something for around 70,000 yen just now, huh..."

"No, can I somehow make it work...?"

Rough Estimation

A Ryzen CPU is fine, but even though I'm not building PCs at all right now, I used to be a PC builder, so I tend to pick up cheap parts.
I have about two spare CPU coolers and AM4 B450 chipset motherboards, so I might be able to manage. If I give up on the RTX 3070.

  • CPU Ryzen5 8k
  • MEM 16GB 4k
  • SSD 500GB 5k
  • GPU AMD RX5700XT 15k
  • Case: The one lying around in my room
  • CPU Cooler: The one lying around in my room
  • Motherboard: The one lying around in my room
  • CPU Grease: The one lying around in my room
  • Power Supply: 750W 80 Plus Silver, the one lying around in my room
    Total: 32k

Somehow, I realized that about half of it became the one lying around in my room...
By the way, regarding the PC case, I told them it's better to choose one they like the look of.
After all, I was told "under 40,000 yen, in the 30,000s."

Since I want them to get along well with their husband, when I suggested yesterday, "Why don't you go look at PC cases with your husband?", they went today, and it warmed my heart.
However, being an otaku, I couldn't help but say, "Antec is reliable and good." I'm sorry.

Other Peripherals

It seems they want to use a TV as a monitor, they'll prepare the controller, I'll give them the keyboard lying around in my room, and they'll buy the mouse. I guess that's fine.

And that's all...
