TempleOS - Terry A. Davis: The Genius Programmer Who Built 3D Games with Just 2MB, Driven by Fanatical Faith in God, and Severely Afflicted by Schizophrenia

Hello, this is Incompetent.
Do you play games?
As for me, I don't play any games at all anymore.
I think I was a gamer until junior high school. And I spent an insane amount of time on games, which is a trait that still applies to me today: if there's something I love, I'll immerse myself in it wholeheartedly, without eating or sleeping.
Games and entertainment are close at hand, and things like playing cards and Jenga are also a type of analog game.
What would you think if the game you're playing was created by someone guided by God?

Terry A. Davis
It is said that he created this game to communicate based on messages from God.
He completed everything by himself, without including any other external factors.
There is no doubt that it required an extraordinary amount of technical skill and effort.
Because he didn't just create a game.
A programming language, compiler, bootloader, kernel, the OS itself, window manager, graphics library for games, and all the games—all by himself.
When I consider why he was able to do this, I feel it was solely due to a faith that would later lead to schizophrenia.
Although Japan is commonly referred to as a non-religious country, personally, I feel that language itself is already a religion, so considering that, I feel Japan is a country that has undergone its own unique evolution, with the vast majority still communicating in 'Japanese'. Perhaps we ourselves try to learn other languages, but in daily life, there's almost no need or occasion to use anything else. The reason I think this is because if it were a country connected to a continent, like in Europe, where cross-border travel is easy, there might be a need to use multiple languages for work and other purposes, but Japan does not require that.
Returning to the topic, due to this immense faith, he did everything by himself, and is now being deified, almost like Christ...
**The temple of God is complete. Now God will kill until the CIA spreads.
**Terry A. Davis
“He suffered from delusions of aliens and government agents”
it says, but is this already some kind of Men in Black?
In his later years, he lived as a homeless person, and in 2018, he was struck by a train and passed away while living on the tracks.
Was it too cruel for a person who created such a unique piece of history? This outcome, precisely because of the mental illness that tormented him, might mean that for him, the Temple of God was already complete the moment TempleOS was finished, and having fulfilled that purpose, the rest of his life and its conclusion might have been a side effect that brought his short life to an end.
While it feels cruel, I believe it would have been even more tragic for him if it had not been completed.
Respect to _Terry A. Davis_, rest in peace.

Perhaps the games we feel close to are also just an extension of someone's delusional world that we are enjoying.
By the way, the music in the game is quite good, so if you're interested, check it out on YouTube or elsewhere.
That's all for now.
