Shocking price.

It seems the seller has been a DIY PC enthusiast since the mid-2000s, and it was part of their collection.
It appears it was not actually released at the time, but it made a comeback in 2021.

3dfx Voodoo 5 6000 Comes Back To Life Better Than Ever

>You may not have even heard of 3dfx, and we don't blame you, as it's been many years since we heard that name. For the uninitiated, 3dfx was one of the major players in the graphics card market, next to Nvidia and ATI. The company went out of business in 2002, but it is still widely known as one of the pioneers in the graphics card market.

So, the original version of that item was listed on eBay.

At this point, the price makes the recent skyrocketing and plummeting of the latest graphics card prices seem trivial...

I wondered, what about other 3DFX Voodoo series graphics cards?

No, it has simply become a collectible item, regardless of its performance ratio or anything like that.

Perhaps you might have something like this in your home PC?

That being said, while DIY PC enthusiasts (jisakaa) at the time might have bought them, I can't imagine them being incorporated into commercially available PCs at all. So, what do the DIY PC builders from that era say?
